Basics of Materia Medica - A Must Read For Homoeopaths

 


This book is an answer to the questions that arise in the mind of scholars of homoeopathy and the topics that are included in the latest syllabus of UG and PG courses of homoeopathy. This book does not  contains symptoms of medicines. It contains all essential information that every homoeopathic student must know.

Objectives of writing this book are:

2) To introduce materia medica from it's root level.
3) Clarifying some important terms for a better understanding of subject.

This book begins with the basics of Materia Medica, it's origin, it's role in other popular systems, in brief how homoeopathic Materia Medica is different from others.
Source books are also covered which contains basic construction and other salient features, which will stimulate readers interest in reading rich literature.
It also covers information like Construction of Materia Medica and Different methods of studying Materia Medica. 
Relationships of Medicines like Complementary, Cognate, Antidote, etc. with examples are elaborated in book.
As Organon of Medicine, Repertory, Materia Medica are three interlinked parts of homoeopathy system, so effort is made in the book to correlate the terms while reading medicines and applying knowledge in clinical practice.
Nosodes and Sarcodes are discussed which will be helpful for PG Scholars.
So, this book will provide all basic information about theoretical part of Materia medica which is in general found scattered in various books or presented improperly on internet.
